Kuta Beach Bali , The Magic of a Beach

Kuta Beach Bali , The Magic of a Beach

Almost every time, Kuta appears at the top of the schedule list when someone starts their plan to visit Bali. "If you have never been to Kuta, you have not been to Bali," as the saying goes.

It's often confusing when someone mentions the word Kuta. Please do a search with Google, and it will return at least a hundred different hotels and restaurants. Officially, Google is right.

After all, Kuta actually represents the name of a district in Bali, which covers a total area of 17.52 km2. But the heart of Kuta - where all the excitement happens, children build their sand castles, beginners take surfing - is only about 1 km long.

The coastline in Kuta district is segmented into three parts - Tuban Beach, Kuta Beach and Legian Beach. So the next time you head to Bali, make sure where you are going. As the name suggests, Kuta Beach is a 'central' beach, accessible from Jalan Raya Kuta Beach. Over the past few decades, Kuta Beach has developed into Bali's main magnet.

When you enter Jalan Raya Pantai Kuta, you will be welcomed by the Hard Rock establishment. Because of aggressive marketing in places like Singapore, many first timers who come to Bali for a short 3 Day 2 Night gateway think that Hard Rock is the best that Bali has to offer. As you walk down the street (Jalan Raya Kuta Beach), you will find Harris followed by Mercure Hotels. Personally, I think all three hotels are comparable. The view from the Mercure pool is second to none. As you continue down the road, you can find a variety of dining options - from Pizza Hut to McDonalds, from Nanxiang Restaurant which offers delicious Chinese cuisine to Vivo Rosso which offers a dining and relaxing experience in the lounge.

If you prefer something small in terms of budget but it feels great, there is a food court located right in the center of Jalan Raya Pantai Kuta. You can choose from Chinese seafood to traditional Indonesian to Western dishes. Be prepared to be approached aggressively by stall sellers. They will not force you to buy, just politely tell them that you want to look around before deciding on your choice.

As you continue towards the road, several more decent hotels - Grand Istana Rama, Kuta Seaview Cottages and Kuta Bali Hotel - add to your list of accommodation choices. Choose one of these hotels (along the main road) only if you plan to spend your entire day doing nothing but hanging out at Kuta Beach. Otherwise, smaller (or no less) hotels or inns offer a more budget-friendly alternative.

Hundreds of thousands of tourists visit Kuta Beach every year. There are no major disasters or disruptions, this beach is crowded all year long. This is a place where many Balinese (and even migrants from land as far away as Java and Sumatra) depend on their lives.

What you can do At Kuta Beach, there is much you can do. All you have to do is bring your own towel or sarong (or buy one if you don't have one), put it in the sand and start sunbathing. If you want something that isn't a hassle, you can rent one of the beach canopies and even wooden or plastic chairs (if you choose not to sit on the sand). If you're a bit more adventurous, you can sign up for surfing lessons that cover a little theory and practice. After all, Kuta Beach was once one of the favorite surfing destinations. Today, due to the crowd, high-level surfers are forced to look for greener pastures.

Or if you want to know what it's like to be Ratu Kuta for a day, you can choose one of the places under the tree. Sit on a towel or chair. Pamper yourself from head to toe. Hair Braiding costs between US $ 2-5, depending on the number of knots you do (and of course your bargaining skills). The tattoo costs between US $ 2-3 and it lasts for 2 weeks. A manicure and pedicure each cost $ 5-10. Back shoulder or foot reflexology massage costs US $ 3-5 for every 90 minutes. (Has everything been covered from head to toe? I hope I haven't missed a thing)

After becoming Queen Royale and you start feeling hungry, you can try a few stalls. There are sweet rojak (Javanese style), nasi padang (Sumatra), uduk rice (Jakarta), meatballs (Obama said it was delicious). When you are thirsty, try Botol Tea. But be careful because these stalls are not equipped with a guarantee of cleanliness. So try them at your own risk and if you think that your stomach can work together with your taste.

Kuta Bali

The best time to visit Kuta Beach in Bali is during the dry season, which typically runs from April to October. During these months, you can expect less rainfall and more sunny days, making it ideal for beach activities and exploring the island. The peak tourist season is in July and August, so if you prefer a less crowded experience, consider visiting in the months of April, May, June, September, or October.

Additionally, the sea temperature in Kuta Beach is suitable for swimming all year round, so no matter when you visit, you’ll be able to enjoy the warm waters.
